I always think I’m going to be so excited when the clocks go back and then it’s 10 p.m. and I’m on my couch yawning like it’s my job. I’m so excited to vote tomorrow but I’d be lying to you (and to myself) if I said that I wasn’t a little nervous about the outcome. Just like everyone else in these United States, I’m tired of the ads & the ridiculous celebrity endorsements (I’m looking at you Melissa Joan Hart!). But, in spite of all the political tension, tomorrow is an important day & the outcome will say so much about this country and where we’re headed. So, no matter what you believe, I hope you exercise your right to vote – it’s an incredible gift we’ve been given, to allow our collective voices to sound for what we believe in and what we won’t stand for as a nation.
I feel like my life has been insanely busy lately, but it’s a good busy for the most part. One of my oldest & dearest friends is off to the Caribbean to marry one of the most amazing men I’ve met in this life. I’ve also been trying to fill my weekends with much photography as possible. Editing photos is absolutely like having a second job. The actual shooting I love so much that, while hard, remains fun for me. Maybe I’ll learn to love editing? Ha ha, probably not.
I hope you had a good weekend and if you were affected by Sandy that things are back to some semblance of normal.
