According to the 1990 Census, I have the 2302nd most popular name in the United States. I’m in my early thirties, married to an awesome guy who I often refer to as The Ethiopian.
I was published in two books Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure & The Best American Nonrequired Reading 2007. Which means…absolutely nothing.
I like napping, sitting on my couch in my pajamas and popcorn. I can not abide cucumbers – no, I won’t like that thing that has cucumbers in it. No, not that thing either. Promise.
I love a good selfie but am just as comfortable behind the camera (you can even hire me to do that!).
I’ve been writing online in some vein about my life for a really, really long time (geocities long) and I’ve owned more domains than I can probably recall. I don’t typically get sentimental about them because I change my mind a lot (like when I “quit” blogging at the end of last year). Most of what I’ve written, I’ve archived because much of it was terrible and the idea of a fresh start feels good (for now).
I enjoy cooking and have a pretty good collection of cookbooks that I like to look at while pondering one of life’s harder inquiries – what’s for dinner?
Bonus fun facts: I just got my license and first car last year at the ripe old age of 34. My college major was Spanish – I wouldn’t consider myself fluent any longer, but I do okay. I also studied French for a few years but I’m pretty sure that’s all gone
