You know how you always hear those stories about people who are in long-term relationships and get questioned about getting married. Then you get married and people start the next line of questioning – when are you having kids? Then you have a kid and it’s – are you going to have any more? Most of it is just people really believing that they’re being friendly by caring about your life but of course, it’s never quite that simple.
Next March we’ll enter our 10th year of marriage. I don’t think this makes me the grand champion of marriage or relationships but I’m proud that we’ve made it this far and that we continue to be happy that we choose one another. In this almost ten years though – we’ve been fortunate enough not to really have to deal too much with inquiries about our lack of baby-making. Until this past Thanksgiving. Around every corner there was someone else asking about a baby almost to the point of comedy. I didn’t bristle because it was people I love and who love us – but to say I got tired of answering
