I don't know about you but when someone pays me a fantastic compliment – I remember it. I store it in that magical part of my brain that needs to recall such things when I'm feeling slightly less than sure of myself or in a quiet moment of reflection.
And because I recognize the value in being kind to someone, I freely give compliments. To my family, my friends, to strangers. Just yesterday, I told a man in CVS how nice his cologne smelled. I hope he didn't think I was a creeper – but he did smell good.
To be kind with words is an ability we all have. Plus, you never how a moment of kindness can affect another person – it's really quite a gift. Compliments are like hugs given without touching, and seriously – who doesn't like hugs?
