On Yellow Squash
I was talking to Julie about yellow squash and I figured I'd share it with you, because I'm nice like that. So, how to have delicious yellow squash (this works for zucchini as well):
OMG I LOVE yellow squash. Cut it into circle slices, med thickness and add it to a pan with some oil (canola, veg, evoo – whatever), some sliced onions and a little bit of water. Lid it. Keep an eye on it but DEFINITELY let it get brown. Salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes = MOUTH PARTY.
note: you can add some garlic, but typically in this case, I would use a sprinkling of garlic powder. onion type? I basically almost exclusively use yellow onions to cook with because they are cheaper and because my pallet can not discern the difference between yellow or white, but I do know white are milder.
