Forward

I'm so looking forward to this weekend. I have no real or definitive plans and I'm just going to fly by the seat of my proverbial pants.

I've been thinking a lot about this blog and how it fits into my life. I often feel guilty for allowing it to languish not updated and then not updating very well when I do. The one thing the internet has taught me, is how to filter myself and the fundamental need for that. As we share more and more of our lives online, I think it's vital that we all learn to keep some things for ourselves. This ain't geocities, you know?

Increasingly I find that most blogs that I read are not about people's lives and I kind of miss that. The commercialization of blogging while good for those on that side of the fence, definitely changes things on a root level. It makes me wonder what the next phase of blogging will be like. Is tumblr the wave of the future? Will we go back to having websites? I guess I'll have to stick around to see.
